Cycling Cities
Film & Discussion
In May 2025, journalist and filmmaker Ingwar Perowanowitsch sets off on a cycling tour of Europe’s most beautiful cycling cities. His route takes him from Freiburg to Paris, via Ghent, Amsterdam, Utrecht and Hamburg, and on to Copenhagen. He wants to find out: how have these cities managed the transport transition, and what can we in Germany learn from them? Perowanowitsch documents how the cities have changed over the last few decades and speaks to politicians, transport planners and activists on the ground.
After the film, we want to examine the local situation: What is the state of the transport transition in Greifswald? What can we learn from the other cities? What are the conditions for success? And where do the challenges lie? Free admission. An event organised by the Heinrich Böll Foundation MV.
