Greifswald Koeppentage: "I was alone in my city."
Presentation of the newly published volume of Wolfgang Koeppen's works with the editors - Volume 12 "Erzählungen"
Just in time for the Koeppentage 2026, the next volume of Wolfgang Koeppen's works - Volume 12 Erzählungen - will be published on 23 June, the author's 120th birthday. The volume brings together all the stories published during the author's lifetime. The spectrum of Koeppen's stories ranges from autobiographical allusions to his childhood and youth in Greifswald to fairytale-like, experimental and, last but not least, socially critical texts.
The volume "Erzählungen" will be presented and discussed by the editors during a panel discussion at the Koeppenhaus: Walter Erhart, Professor of German Literature at Bielefeld University, and Hans-Ulrich Treichel, writer and Professor (ret.) at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig.
The moderator will be Eckhard Schumacher, Professor of Modern German Literature and Literary Theory at the University of Greifswald and Director of the Wolfgang Koeppens Archive.
