Vernissage - Jakob Kirchheim - Portraits, linoleum prints, films
Printmaking Day on 15 March
In his solo exhibition at the Koeppenhaus, Jakob Kirchheim is showing linocut portraits, other motifs and films created using linocut prints. Following the opening of the exhibition, he will explain his animation techniques using selected film examples in large projection.
At the end of the exhibition, a linocut workshop will take place together with the Greifswald artist Katja Anke ("Kaminka") and Jakob Kirchheim will show linocut films in the evening.

For over 50 years, the Stiftung Buchkunst (Book Art Foundation) has been promoting the exemplary design of consumer books and providing them with a highly regarded forum through the competition "The Most Beautiful German Books". The results of these design competitions set points of reference and follow new developments. They serve as impulses for outstanding design and exemplary workmanship. There are five winners in each of the five categories "General literature", "Academic books, specialist books, school and textbooks", "Guidebooks, non-fiction books", "Art books, photo books, exhibition catalogues" and "Children's books, books for young people".
