The war was a great catastrophe for the people of Greifswald. The family of the poet Sibylla Schwarz also went through difficult times. Ivo Asmus and Gesine Nissen will provide an insight into the political situation in Pomerania during the Thirty Years' War and the beginning of the Swedish period. Using the poet's actual life as an example, they will shed light on the conditions in the city and their impact on its inhabitants.
Ivo Asmus is a subject specialist for Pomeranica at the Old University Library.
As a family researcher, Gesine Nissen has focussed in particular on the Schwarz family home in Greifswald.
In co-operation with the Cultural Officer for Pomerania and East Brandenburg and the Society for Pomeranian History, Antiquities and Art.
