Frames meiner Vorfahren

An exhibition by Laura Schöning

The exhibition examines how repressed or untold pasts become tangible as diffuse emotions and tensions. Archives, memories and digital and analog fragments are used to create fragile spaces in which possible futures between past and present can be imagined.

Jenny Schäfer, born in 1985, is an artist and author from Hamburg. She studied at the HFBK Hamburg and writes at the interface between visual art with a focus on photography and literature. Her texts are characterized by experimental forms and poetic directness.
