Stadt und Land - Eine geteilte Welt?
Thinking and printing: A creative screen printing workshop with exciting discussions as part of weltwechsel, the state-wide series of events on global issues in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
Many studies describe how people in rural regions tend to be at a disadvantage compared to people in cities. They have a poorer infrastructure at their disposal, they have longer distances to school and fewer leisure activities. Whether people live in the countryside or in the city influences their voting decisions, their opportunities for political participation and their career choices. Are cities and the countryside a divided world? What unites? What divides? What makes life in the countryside special? What does a rural area worth living in look like? We also want to discuss these questions with a look at different regions in the world and then condense important thoughts into serious, funny or simply beautiful print motifs. Anyone who wants to can bring an item of clothing to print on.
The workshop will take place from 10:00 to 16:00.
