Two years after the sudden death of photographer Robert Conrad (1962-2023), we are commemorating him in Greifswald with this exhibition.
Robert Conrad grew up in Greifswald and discovered his love of architecture and photography here. He began documenting the changes to the cityscape as early as the 1980s.
The exhibition in the Koeppenhaus documents Robert Conrad's life from the late GDR regime, from the Wall in Berlin to his worldwide travels to exciting architecture in the new world that was now accessible to him after the Wall came down.
Exhibition until 03.07.2025, Tue-Fri, 2-6pm, special opening for MV Day on Sun, 22.06. from 12-4pm, free admission
SUNOID
Film - Psychedelic - Krautrock - Bluesrock - Ambient
Michael Lapuks (Freak Mono, Amazing Astronauts): Guitar, Animation
Bernd Jestram (Tarwater, Amazing Astronauts): Bass, Synthesizer
Bruno Große (End of September, Infamis): Drums
SUNOID play and improvise live to films, animated images and projections.
With their instrumental music, SUNOID move on the edge between sound and improvisation, between chaos and order. The three musicians intuitively create sinister soundscapes and sound surfaces that seem psychedelic and seem to have their roots in kraut and blues rock.
and blues rock. Jazz-like improvisations create dark, sprawling vibrations that merge or dissolve into ambient-like soundscapes.
A projection or collage consisting of around 700 individual images will be shown in the Koeppenhaus. The original templates for this were woodcuts by Michael Lapuks.
The band SUNOID will improvise live to this collage of images. A video projector will be used to project the image or collage onto a screen and onto the band performing in front of it.
