Podcast „Wir sind das Volk“ geht auf Tournee durch den Osten Deutschlands
with Marie Möller and Isa Grütering
Leipzig. The Peaceful Revolution Foundation's podcast "We are the people" will embark on an exciting journey through East Germany from 2025. Live appearances are planned in Stendal, Rostock, Greifswald, Rostock, Nordhausen, Freiberg and Cottbus. The podcast makers Björn Menzel and Pierre Gehmlich have found interesting interviewees from the respective regions for their journey to the east.
Gesine Oltmanns from the Peaceful Revolution Foundation explains: "We are very excited about the locations and how the topics of the East-West debate and the aftermath of German reunification are viewed and discussed. We have the feeling that the differences and similarities between East and West have once again come into focus. We want to explore why and why now in particular. We look forward to everyone coming and joining in the discussion."
All events are open to the public and admission is free. The discussions will be recorded and a new episode for the podcast will be created from each event.
The podcast tour will make a stop at St. Spiritus Greifswald on June 4, 2025 at 7 pm. The guests will be Marie Möller and Isa Grütering. The topic of the evening is OSTFRAUEN. The podcasters will be talking to Marie Möller from Greifswald, who is a project manager at WITENO and has a very eventful East German biography. Isa Grütering, who founded the successful Ostfrauensalon, is also on the podium.
