The route leads in parts along the stations of the Caspar-David-Friedrich-Bildweg within Greifswald's old town, but also lets you discover the history of new places that shaped the Friedrich family in their neighborhood. From the CDF Center, you will first be led west along Lange Straße, discover the "Am Wall" - Adolf's Garden - and then reach other relevant places such as St. Jacobi, the University of Greifswald, St. Nikolai Cathedral, the Pomeranian State Museum and Greifswald's market square. The tour finally ends at the starting point - the Caspar David Friedrich Center.
