Die Tanzstile der Choreograf*innen Marie Gourdain, Maura Morales und Ruben Reniers verschmelzen auf einer Open Air Bühne in Bröllin, Greifswald, Schwerin und Neustrelitz – die Kraft des Tanzes erlebbar gemacht.

As part of a three-week summer residency at Schloss Bröllin, the three internationally renowned choreographers Marie Gourdain, Maura Morales and Ruben Reniers, together with former artists from the Schloss Bröllin residency program, six dancers and the composer Michio Woirgardt, are currently developing the three-part dance collage LAW OF ICE for a large open-air stage. Three different styles of movement come together and make the power of dance palpable. Following the preview performance in Bröllin on August 30, 2023, the production and stage will tour to Greifswald, Schwerin and Neustrelitz between September 2 and 10, 2023.

The current news and images of war, refugee movements, energy and climate crises are highly unsettling for our society. Helplessness and anger on the one hand, the pursuit of profit, ruthlessness and a lack of empathy on the other reinforce the mechanisms that are leading to ever greater division in our society. With great physical energy and a flair for tragicomic situations, the choreographers explore the question of how this potential for confrontation (physically) affects our relationships. And how can we stop the anger - when we find ourselves in a maelstrom of aggression?
