"Well, she’d be too thin for me..."

Christine Schütze’s latest solo piece, ‘Well, she’d be too thin for me!’, celebrates the subtle distinctions. For example, the difference between saying and meaning, knowing and understanding, or between (supposed) female and male ideal types. At the heart of this exploration of love and words, everyday life and empty phrases, are all of us, the German language, and all the things one can do with eloquent speech and a voice as sweet as a piano. Low German also plays a small part. In a nutshell: in a song at the end of the day, Fidele Alte demonstrate that the perfect man is pure relativity theory, even without night-vision goggles. Sounds puzzling? True, but it all becomes clear in the course of this amusing and intelligent cabaret evening.
