Where the Boys Are
A game. A dance. A fight. A relationship. A performance.
Two opposing forces come together in a struggle. Each wants to defeat the other. Yet, gradually, through repeated clashes, both bodies soften. A new vulnerability emerges. It creates space to discover the other and opens up new possibilities for physical contact – with a care and support that is often lacking in relationships between men. *Where the Boys Are* playfully explores the intersection between dance and martial arts. By appropriating the vocabulary of various practices, the two performers transform the arena into a sensitive and intimate space for performance.
