The Pellbäcks – Siblings in Concert
The three Swedish Pellbäck siblings – acclaimed rising stars – are performing a tribute to the music of their homeland at the Usedom Music Festival in Ahlbeck Church.
A sibling phenomenon from Sweden: the three Pellbäcks are causing a stir on the international stage. In 2022, they opened the ‘Queen Silvia Concert Hall’ in Stockholm in the presence of Queen Silvia, and Hansine had already appeared on stage alongside Anne-Sophie Mutter at the Polar Music Prize Gala at the age of nine. Trained at the Lilla Akademien in Stockholm, the Mozarteum in Salzburg and Ingesund College of Music, they are among their country’s young elite.
Their concert is a declaration of love for Swedish music: for the Baroque splendour of the ‘Swedish Handel’, Johan Helmich Roman; for the vibrant open-air romanticism of Wilhelm Peterson-Berger; and for the rediscovered composer Laura Netzel, who published her early works under a pseudonym.
An evening full of delightful surprises at the church in Seebad Ahlbeck.
