Niklas Sivelöv – A Swedish end to the summer

Usedom Music Festival 2026 at the Protestant Church in Krummin: Swedish pianist Niklas Sivelöv performs Stenhammar’s ‘Late Summer Nights’, Beethoven and Brahms – an atmospheric way to round off the summer.

Piano poetry from the far north in the atmospheric Evangelical Church in Krummin: the pianist Niklas Sivelöv, born in Skellefteå in northern Sweden and now a professor at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, is one of the most prominent ambassadors for Swedish music in Europe.

The programme features Wilhelm Stenhammar’s ‘Late Summer Nights’ as well as works by Beethoven and Brahms – music that blends Nordic light, delicate melancholy and radiant poetry. Sivelöv’s award-winning recordings of Stenhammar’s works are regarded as the gold standard; his concerts take him from Carnegie Hall to the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. For his services to music, he was knighted by the Queen of Denmark as a Knight of the Order of the Dannebrog.

An intimate evening that brings the Swedish summer to a melodious close.
