A ballad-fairy-tale mini-opera by Anno Schreier for a flautist and a singer

Mina doesn’t speak – and yet she has a voice that is stronger than any word: her music. Every morning, she is woken by her cheeky, brave little sheep, whose name is Wölkchen. And they start the day cheerfully with a boisterous pillow fight. Together they set off, leaving the village behind and heading straight into an adventure full of wonders, dangers and mysterious encounters. They follow the course of a stream, plunge over waterfalls, ride on a raft and meet people who turn their world upside down. In a gloomy forest, they use dance and play to spark a joyful celebration for people and animals alike, and in doing so discover the magical power of music – a power that brings joy, inspires courage and can even tame dragons. Every note makes the world a little brighter, until Mina and Wölkchen reach the vast sea at the end of their journey. And there they experience that little bit of great happiness.
