We’re standing up for what we believe in. For a cosmopolitan Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
On display is the documentary-style, MV-wide photo project by Zusammen Bewegen.
Around 100 people from Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania have put themselves in the spotlight for this photo project. They are committed to democracy, diversity and social cohesion – whether in clubs, initiatives, the cultural sector, education, the skilled trades or simply in their neighbourhoods.
The portraits are deliberately documentary in style. They show people in their everyday and working environments: authentic, earnest, sometimes pensive, always with a sense of purpose. It is not about staging, but about visibility – for those who help shape the way we live together every day.
The exhibition highlights the diversity of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. People of different ages and backgrounds, from the migrant community and from all parts of the state, are setting an example of openness, respect and solidarity.
Democracy thrives on people who show their faces.
The exhibition can be visited in the STRAZEsaal from 15 August, running alongside the event. Outside the school holidays, from 24 August until 17 September, it will be open on Sundays and Mondays from 2 pm to 6 pm. Admission is free.
