Jed Thomas Band (UK)
International blues rock makes its debut at St. Spiritus in Greifswald
Blues rock fans can look forward to a special concert highlight: on Saturday 15 August 2026, the Jed Thomas Band from Yorkshire (UK) will be performing at St. Spiritus for the first time, bringing high-energy, world-class blues rock to the
Hanseatic city.
The multi-acclaimed band led by frontman Jed Thomas is synonymous with authentic, organic blues rock, delivered with passion, virtuosity and a joy of improvisation.
The Leeds-based musician has previously graced international stages alongside Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Guy and Nine Below Zero, and captivates audiences with a sound that blends
classic Delta blues, slide guitar and powerful electric blues. Musical influences from Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix and Rory Gallagher shape the band’s intense live shows, which bring the spirit of legendary 1970s concerts back to life.
The band will be bringing their latest releases as well as freshly remastered albums to perform live. Together with Paul Austwick on the Hammond organ, Nibbsy Toase on bass and Fiete Blümel on drums, Jed Thomas ensures a rousing concert experience full of dynamism and enthusiasm.
The concert also marks the band’s first performance at the historic St. Spiritus and promises a special evening for all lovers of blues and rock music.
“Really loved your slide playing” (Joe Bonamassa)
“Keep playin’ the blues, son…” (Buddy Guy)
