Gerhard Dallmann was born 100 years ago – the driving force who brought Grundtvig’s ideas of vibrant, community-based education to Lubmin. For 35 years now, the Lubmin Residential Adult Education Centre has been a place where this idea has found a home: through conversation, togetherness and learning for life. The exhibition invites visitors to trace the journey from vision to a thriving community.

The exhibition’s closing event will take place on 11 October 2026 at 11.00 am with a reading from Gerhard Dallmann’s documentary text *Fluchtweg Großer Belt. Zuflucht eines deutschen Deserteurs auf OMØ* (Escape Route: The Great Belt. A German Deserter’s Refuge on OMØ).
