For the 24th time, associations & institutions, venues, initiatives and artists are organising the Greifswald Culture Night. In previous years, the co-organisers have organised around 80 individual events at over 40-50 different locations from late afternoon until late at night. These included performances in their own buildings, on streets and in squares. Increasingly, the company's own sales and event spaces and properties are also being opened up to other cultural organisers.

Whether lecture, exhibition, guided tour or workshop, concert, dance, installation, painting, live performance, film, theatre, cabaret - whether literary, musical, animal, culinary, mainstream or alternative, local, regional, international, classical, popular or revolutionary, rehearsed, improvised or developed in a joint jam session - the city of Greifswald presents its cultural diversity.

Professionals, amateurs, ambitious amateurs, specialists, all-rounders, local heroes and scene favourites from all artistic and cultural genres will shape the cultural night, not only in the city centre.

Since 2014, the "Singing Balconies in Schönwalde II" have been opening the Culture Night and attracting several hundred visitors to the prefabricated housing estate: a musical tour with drumming, rapping, choral or solo singing in several languages.
