The Outrun
Village cinema in Krebsow
A young woman from the Scottish Orkney Islands flees to London, where she becomes addicted to alcohol and has to reorganise her life after a crash. She finds refuge in her old home, but the road to self-discovery and turning her back on her addiction is long and difficult. Based on authentic events, the drama alternates between flashy effects and intense observations of nature, is deliberately told in a non-linear fashion and uses mythological tales to alienate the protagonist's fate. A moving, challenging film about the struggle with addiction.
Admission from 6 pm. Tickets cost €5 with free seating. Drinks and snacks can be purchased. There is always time for a chat with neighbours, friends and guests at the end.
