The Kieshofer Moor is one of the oldest nature conservation areas in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and yet has been the subject of fierce conflicts between nature conservationists and other interested parties to the present day. Using the vegetation as an example, we look at the state of the area and various approaches to preserving species worthy of protection.
