Printmaking Day on 15 March

In his solo exhibition at the Koeppenhaus, Jakob Kirchheim is showing linocut portraits, other motifs and films created using linocut prints. Following the opening of the exhibition, he will explain his animation techniques using selected film examples in large projection.
At the end of the exhibition, a linocut workshop will take place together with the Greifswald artist Katja Anke ("Kaminka") and Jakob Kirchheim will show linocut films in the evening.

Day of the art of printing
On 15 March 2018, traditional printing techniques were added to the German UNESCO Commission's nationwide list of intangible cultural heritage, which is why Printmaking Day is always held on 15 March.
