PRINT WORKS
Unique prints
The exhibition presents three artists and takes a look at various printmaking techniques based on their artistic work. Through experimental processes or combinations, special one-off prints and unique works of art are created.
The young artist Helene Beckmann uses the classic technique of etching, whereby she achieves new pictorial compositions with various experimental processes or in combination with texts by the writer Anke von Sund. The artist Falko Behrendt develops his fine drawings and playful motifs in lithographs and colour etchings. Leipzig-based artist Nadine Respondek combines linoleum, shell printing and etching to create colourful visual worlds.
At the opening, visitors can create their own printed works at various printing stations using a combination of different simple printing techniques such as monotype, stencil printing and gelly printing.
The exhibition is taking place as part of the "Day of Printmaking" organised by the Association of Visual Artists.
