Alice D lost - deep in the bosom of the gentle night
Deep falls ALICE D. Deeper and deeper she sinks into the bosom of the dark night. She wanders through the techno club as if through wonderland. Here, in the midst of intoxication and excess, a world of individual, intimate freedom opens up to her: a melting pot in which those fleeing reality and those seeking freedom move side by side to monotonous rhythms at extreme frequencies. But what happens when the desire to dance becomes an unquenchable thirst?
On her dream-lost foray, ALICE D moves between the poles, dancing on the fine line between self-discovery and destructiveness.
Based on René Daumal's "Das große Besäufnis" and Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland", Jenny Helene Wübbe mixes associative biographical poetry, classical texts and energetic techno movements to create a dynamic monologue piece about self-empowerment and addiction.
