The youngest daughter (STRAZEkino)

Director Hafsia Herzi's "The Youngest Daughter" is a coming-of-age story without clichés. Based on the novel by Fatimas Daas.

Drama / FR, D 2025 / Director: Hafsia Herzi / 108 min. / Original language / FSK12

Fatima grows up in a loving family with two older sisters, even though her sisters tease her that she is not feminine enough and will probably never get a man. Outside, she hangs out with the show-off boys, wears a hoody and baseball cap - and loves playing football. She is a believer and prays regularly. But she can't share the thing that concerns her most with anyone. These are cautious first steps towards a free life that she wants to break out of completely - without losing her old life.
Is that possible?

In her third film, "The Youngest Daughter", director Hafsia Herzi tells the story of Fatima's long journey to self-acceptance with empathy and sensitivity. Always very close to the main character, we experience everyday life with her as it slowly shifts.
