Heroine
Cinema in the old fire station
Floria Lind, a dedicated nurse, starts her late shift in the surgical department of a Swiss hospital. Despite chronic understaffing and full occupancy, she remains professional and caring. Alongside her colleague Bea Schmid, she looks after 26 patients, including Mr Osmani, who is waiting for an operation, and Mrs Morina, a seriously ill mother. Mr Leu, an elderly patient, is waiting urgently for his diagnosis, while Mr Severin, a demanding private patient, is constantly making special requests. Floria tries to fulfil everyone's wishes, although the pressure mounts.
As the night progresses, the situation comes to a head. Floria has to prioritise and make quick decisions. Despite her efforts, she makes a serious mistake. This incident pushes her to her limits. The already tense shift threatens to spiral out of control. A nerve-wracking race against time begins. Floria fights to save the situation and ensure the best possible care for the patients.
