Has everything really been forgotten? - Young people asked themselves this question when they stood in front of the old canteen on Schießwall for the first time in 2003 to remember Eckhard Rütz. Eckhard Rütz died there next to a telephone booth on the night of November 25, 2000. Beaten to death by three neo-Nazis who "wanted to teach him a lesson". Rütz became one of a long list of victims of right-wing violence.
Even 25 years after the murder, the alliance "Already forgotten?" calls for a memorial service at the memorial stone in front of the old canteen.
