Einszweiundzwanzig vor dem Ende (1H22 AVANT LA FIN)

Comedy by Matthieu Delaporte German by Georg Holzer

"Everyone knows me. Everyone meets me at some point, and most people don't like it. With three letters."

"If you're bored to death, you have to do something about it." He wants to leave the world as inconspicuously and unobtrusively as he has lived. The apartment is perfectly tidy, the electricity and household contents insurance have been canceled. Now all Bernhard has to do is jump from the fourth floor to leave his unfulfilled existence behind him. He already has one foot on the windowsill when there is a knock at the door and shortly afterwards a man is standing in the living room with his gun drawn, ready to shoot Bernhard. But instead of just dealing with the matter immediately, they start talking to each other. In the face of death, personal secrets are revealed, existential questions about life are discussed and life and death are fought over verbally. Long after it has become clear that the two have much more in common than they thought, the stranger reveals his true identity. But then events come thick and fast and Bernhard summons up all his courage to save Clara, the neighbor he secretly adores - even though death has long since arrived on the scene.

What makes life worth living? What is worth living for? The latest comedy by Matthieu Delaporte, who has already delighted audiences worldwide and at Theater Vorpommern with his play "The First Name", co-written with Alexandre de la Patellière, is a firework of linguistic wit, unexpected twists and turns and black humor.
