Filmclub Casablanca "Briefe aus der Wilcza – Listy z Wilczej"
Polish Cultural Days in Greifswald
Filmmaker Arjun Talwar takes a very personal look at his street in Warsaw and its inhabitants.
Having lived in Poland for over ten years, he still feels like a stranger. By filming his neighbors, he hopes to become part of their world. Together with his girlfriend Mo, also a migrant and filmmaker, he discovers hidden stories and similarities.
The street becomes a symbol of a Europe between tradition and modernity, home and alienation. With humor and melancholy, Talwar portrays a country that is often still considered hostile and holds a mirror up to it.
"Letters from the Wilcza" by Arjun Talwar tells the story of how the Indian filmmaker still has difficulties fitting into this world even after ten years in Poland. A humorous, very personal film." Nordkurier about the Filmkunstfest MV 2025
