„UNICEF Foto des Jahres“ & „Gewalt hinterlässt Spuren“
Opening ceremony for UNICEF exhibitions at the district administration office
Under the titles "UNICEF Photo of the Year" and "Violence leaves its mark", two UNICEF exhibitions can be viewed from 30.09.2025. District Administrator Michael Sack, together with Peter-Matthias Gaede, former editor-in-chief of the Geo Group (Geo Specials, Geo Wissen, Geo Kompakt and founder of the children's magazine Geolino, Geolino Extra) and jury member in the competition for the UNICEF Photo of the Year, will officially open the exhibitions in the foyer of the district administration office in Greifswald.
The exhibitions can be viewed free of charge from Monday to Friday during the opening hours of the administration until November 3, 2025.
With the "UNICEF Photo of the Year" award, the organization annually honours photos and photo reportages that portray the personality and living conditions of children worldwide particularly well. The exhibition "Violence leaves its mark" brings together facts on the subject of violence in education. In particular, little-noticed forms of violence, such as psychological abuse, are highlighted. The works impressively explain the massive consequences that experiences of violence can have for children.
