„Thomas Thorild – Schwedisches Genie in Greifswald“ – Lesung im alten Pfarrhaus Neuenkirchen
"Thomas Thorild - Swedish genius in Greifswald" - Reading in the old vicarage in Neuenkirchen
Valuable - priceless or irreplaceable? This is the motto of this year's nationwide Open Monument Day. There could hardly be a better quote for the planned renovation of the old vicarage in Neuenkirchen. The investment is considerable - but is it worth it to preserve this historic building for future generations?
The Glockenverein, which is dedicated to preserving the historic parish ensemble, cordially invites all interested parties to visit the rectory on Sunday, September 14, 2025, between 1 and 4 p.m. and see the building for themselves. It is also possible to climb the church tower and take a look at the vault and the three bronze bells.
The highlight will be the presentation of a recently published anthology of Thomas Thorild's work at 2 pm. This small collection aims to make Thorild's extraordinary world of thought more accessible. Peter Tenhaef and Walter Baumgartner will present "Thomas Thorild - Swedish Genius in Greifswald" in a public reading in the vicarage.
