Lesung von Annette Gröschner
Annett Gröschner tells the story of the flower arranger and crane operator Hanna Krause.
Hanna Krause was a flower arranger before life turned her into a crane operator. She lived through two revolutions, two dictatorships, an uprising, two world wars and two defeats in world wars, two democracies, the Kaiser and other leaders, good and bad times, gave birth to six children and was unable to bury two of them, which affected her to the end of her life.
"In a perfect balance between laconic and heartbreaking, a life in this terrible 20th century is told here, wars and despair, love and sacrifice, delicate flowers and superhuman strength." Elke Heidenreich
"Full of experience and hungry for dreams. There is no better way to tell a human life. With this book, Annett Gröschner not only erects a monument to her heroine Hanna, but to all the invisible women who fought their way back to the side of life every day in the abysses of the 20th century."
