Thomas Naedler - plattdeutsche Lieder
as part of the Festival up platt
Why butter pretzels ruin a visit to the theater, why chocolate ships are not a good idea and why a child can turn a cat into an electrician - these are questions that need to be answered!
The songs that Thomas Naedler presents in his Low German program are absurd, funny, cheerful and sometimes flat with joy.
Thomas Naedler has been singing his self-written songs to people for almost 35 years - initially solo as "Seilschaft Müller", later with various bands behind him.
He has now opened a new chapter for himself with his Low German songs. Rediscovering the language of his parents and grandparents and carrying it forward in new songs - that is joy and pleasure. Low German brings depth and sound, stubborn beauty and North German directness to the lyrics on which every song is based.
