Die Vermessung der Demokratie.
A theater evening about the resistance fighter Wilhelm Leuschner.
Who was the man who built the civilian network around the July 20th assassination attempt?
In the shadow of the military conspiracy around Stauffenberg, an underground movement close to the trade unions was active throughout Germany, without which the coup could not have been started. Wilhelm Leuschner was the head of the underground trade union during the Nazi dictatorship - and was intended to be Vice-Chancellor in a new government after Hitler's death. Jan Uplegger (acting), Yumiko Tsubaki (violin) and Maria Hinze (piano) present an exciting staged production of the impressive life of a man who was one of the most committed defenders of German democracy during the Nazi era.
An event organized by the DGB Ost Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
