Greifswald bewegt!
1st inclusive running event
Sport connects. Whether young or old, with disabilities or without. The joy of movement unites and leads to special encounters. Under the motto "Greifswald moves", the first inclusive running event will therefore take place in Greifswald's Volksstadion on Saturday, June 28, 2025. From 10:00 to 13:00, all those with and without mobility aids will have the opportunity to take part. The event is organized by the University and Hanseatic City of Greifswald together with the city sports association and the ZORA children's and youth welfare service.
All running enthusiasts are invited to take part, either as a group or individually. The start is every half hour until 12:00 noon. You can run or roll 1, 3, 5, 10 and 20 laps for a ranking. The award ceremony will take place at 12:45 p.m. on the square in front of the VIP grandstand. In addition to the fastest individuals and teams in each classification, the most creative team name will also be honored.
Active runners with handbikes or similar can also start as individual runners. They compete on the outer lanes, while people with baby carriages, walking frames or other aids compete on the middle lanes. On the two inner lanes, all people who are guided or do not require assistance can run their laps. Two to five athletes can start as a group.
