Brazilian journalist Rex Ronney is investigating alcohol smuggling in the north and embarks on a boat trip between Estonia and Finland, where alcohol is banned. On the boat, he meets the liquor king Kölgis, who puts him in touch with the smuggling milieu in Tallinn. There he meets the fiery smuggler Betty Martens, and passion flares up... An Estonian-German adventure film with romantic entanglements and a lot of Baltic Sea by Wladimir Gaidarow, who also plays the leading role. In Estonia, the film is called Kire lained (Waves of Passion). The kissing scene filmed in the park of Tallinn-Maarjamäe Castle went down in Estonian film history.
