Nordischer Klang 2025: Abschlussfest
Double concert with Johan Norborg (Svensk Visepop) and Haldi & ans Flamingo (Estonian Pop/Disco Classics)
Johan Norborg, the singer/songwriter from Stockholm's Gamla Stan, writes and sings such melodic, Swedish-language vise-pop that one Swedish fan described it with the beautiful German word "überpeppig". Johan and his six-piece live band set stories to music that take place between the old alleyways and stroll enchanted through the cozy corners with roughened electric guitars and gentle piano. "A timeless declaration of love. With the same euphoria with which Håkan Hellström celebrates the streets of Gothenburg, Johan Norborg kisses the cobblestones of his homeland." - Jan Gradvall, Dagens Industri
The young Estonian singer and guitarist Haldi Välimäe moved the audience with Ballads & Bossa at her first concert abroad at Nordischer Klang in 2024. In 2025, she returns with her 10-piece band Flamingo, which plays soul, disco, jazz and funk. Haldi has a passion for Estonian disco music from the 70s and 80s and brings it into the present. Her EP Õige aeg (The Right Time) combines uptempo disco with contemporary sounds and brings a breath of fresh air to the music scene.
