The Custody of the University of Greifswald offers an annual public guided tour of the auditorium and dungeons from Monday to Sunday at 3 pm from April 1 to October 31, in addition to group tours throughout the year.

Look great thinkers in the eye and gifted doctors from the University of Greifswald in the eye. Learn about the history of the alma mater of Pomerania and the oldest Swedish university. Find out more about the university during the political upheavals of the last 200 years. We'll show you our 'parlour', the baroque assembly hall, and give you a taste of prison life. You will be amazed at the crude jokes of the student convicts of yesteryear.

Please note:
In exceptional cases (e.g. university events), the assembly hall cannot be visited. Alternatively, you can visit the Council Hall in the main building, the lecture theatre building or the historic lecture theatre with its original seating, which is still in use today. Your tour guide will inform you before the start of the tour.
