Public guided tour at the MEERESMUSEUM

“Off to the blue sea!”: discover the diversity of the oceans behind historic monastery walls on a guided tour of the MEERESMUSEUM. 60 minutes | €4 plus admission

Fascinating marine worlds within a medieval church – you can experience this extraordinary combination at the MEERESMUSEUM, housed in the former Dominican monastery of St Katharinen. Surrounded by imposing red-brick architecture, you’ll explore the impressive diversity of the oceans with our guides. A model of a Bryde’s whale diving beneath the surface welcomes you amidst a digital school of sardines. Find out more about the leatherback turtle ‘Marlene’ and the diversity of marine mammals.

The one-hour public guided tour highlights the key features of the exhibitions at the MEERESMUSEUM.

Afterwards, you can explore the museum at your own pace.
Tickets are available from the online shop and at the museum ticket office.
