Encountering plants and the countryside in the height of summer – a walk in Steinfurth
On a walk, we will explore the varied landscape around Steinfurth with all our senses, and, through conversation, gain a deeper understanding of its unique character.
Sonja Schürger, a garden and landscape designer from Stralsund (www.landschaftsgarten.net), will accompany us on a walk south of Steinfurth and introduce us to the Goethean approach. The walk takes us through field margins, wild meadows and avenues of oak trees, along the edges of the woodland and through the forest.
We will encounter various plants and animals in their natural surroundings, discover them with all our senses,
observe them closely and sense what their nature conveys to us and perhaps resonates with us.
It’s important to bring plenty to drink, a hat and, essential, sturdy footwear and long trousers. A magnifying glass and binoculars are useful.
We’ll be out and about for around 3 hours.
Fee per person: €20, please bring cash. Meeting point: 10.15 am at the Steinfurth bus turning loop
The walk will be cancelled in the event of continuous rain; if the weather is uncertain, please
contact me.
There is the option of being picked up by car from Karlsburg railway station.
