Caspar-David-Friedrich-Predigt 1

With a series of four services centered around a "Caspar David Friedrich Sermon", the cathedral, as Friedrich's baptismal church, is taking part in the city's celebrations. The sermons each refer to one of Friedrich's paintings and are held by prominent theologians. In the service, the piety of Friedrich and his time will be interpreted for our present day and framed by church music from the Romantic period. The service will be opened by Dr. Johann Hinrich Claussen, Cultural Commissioner of the Protestant Church in Germany.
